			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I just found <a href="http://audio.sxsw.com/podcast/film/hustwit_pray_SXSW.mp3">this interview</a> between <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1216753/">Gary Hustwit</a>, director of the new <a href="http://www.objectifiedfilm.com/">Objectified</a> movie, and <a href="http://www.dougpray.com/">Doug Pray</a>, director of the new <a href="http://festival.sundance.org/2009/film_events/films/art_copy">Art &#038; Copy</a> movie.  </p>
<p>Art &#038; Copy is all about advertising.  Objectified, as I&#8217;ve <a href="http://heythatsagreatidea.com/2009/01/objectified/">previously</a> <a href="http://heythatsagreatidea.com/2009/01/objectified-premiere-sxsw-film-fest-09/">written</a>, is all about product design.  Hustwit and Pray find some interesting common ground in discussing what they each learned during the making of their films.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Since reading Bruce Nussbaum&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/NussbaumOnDesign/archives/2008/12/innovation_is_d.html">&#8216;Innovation&#8217; is Dead</a>&#8221; article in <a href="http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/NussbaumOnDesign/">BusinessWeek</a> back in December, I&#8217;ve been giving the idea some serious thought.  Initially the whole notion struck me as a contrived discussion on semantics.  I just re-read the article along with all of the new comments and it still seems like Bruce is just trying to coin a new buzzword.  Someone should tell BusinessWeek because the word &#8220;Innovation&#8221; shows up 39 times (yes, I counted) on the &#8220;Innovation&#8221; landing page.  That includes the title of his latest post, &#8220;<a href="http://www.businessweek.com/innovate/NussbaumOnDesign/archives/2009/01/does_barack_oba.html">Does Barack Obama Understand Innovation? Maybe Not.</a>&#8221;</p>
<p>Call it whatever you want.  The smart, talented people are going to continue to develop new technologies into new and amazing products and services regardless of how marketing sells it to the CEO.</p>
